Nintendo DSi repairs - FAQ's

Below you will find some of our most frequently asked questions. If you cannot find the answer to your question here then please contact us!

Question: Am I able to deliver / collect my Nintendo DSi in person?
Answer: You are more than welcome to drop off and collect your Nintendo DSi in person, please contact us prior to delivery / collection so that we can make sure someone is available to take delivery and give your console an initial assesment.

Question: Do you charge for return postage?
Answer: Return postage of your Nintendo DSi is included in the price we have quoted by email, and on the prices you may have seen advertised on the site! We use Royal Mail First Class Recorded Delivery unless specifically requested by you to use another method such as Special Delivery. Where Special Delivery is requested an additional charge of £3 will be requested on your invoice.

Question: Is repair work covered by warranty?
Answer: Yes, all Nintendo DSi repair work is covered by our 'hassle-free' warranty. For 31 days after the DSi is returned to you any faults or problems will be resolved free-of-charge! After this period we will consider repairing the DSi under warranty depending on the nature of the damage/fault, we may then offer a repair at a reduced rate, if not for free.

Question: How should I post my Nintendo DSi to you?
Answer: Please secure your DSi together with a rubber band prior to posting to us so that it does not open whilst in transit (this will prevent any further damage). Most customers will wrap the DSi in bubble wrap or foam and send it in a padded envelope. Recorded delivery offered by the Royal Mail allows you to track the DSi and requires a signature upon delivery. This method of posting only offers a maximum of £39 compensation from the Royal Mail should it go missing so many customers opt for Special Delivery (for a few pounds extra) as this covers you for up to £500 compensation. However, to date we have had no problems with Recorded Delivery.

Question: What if my Nintendo DSi goes missing in the post?
Answer: We have never had a DSi go missing in the post... delayed, yes, but never missing! However should anything happen to your DSi while it is being delivered by the Royal Mail we will do our very best to assist in any way we can to recover the item. We are happy to chase the Royal Mail on your behalf and if need be to make a claim for compensation.

Question: Do you post Nintendo DSi's abroad?
Answer: We often conduct Nintendo DSi repairs for foreign customers, return postage abroad is not a problem but you must agree a price with us prior to posting - this will only be a small amount to cover our postage costs... we do not make profit on postage costs!

Question: Do I need to include my charger or any other cables?
Answer: You do not need to include your charger or any other cables when posting your Nintendo DSi for repair as we have plenty of them available in our workshop.

Question: How do I check the status of my Nintendo DSi repair?
Answer: You can call us on the landline or mobile numbers provided on our contact us page. You can also email us or submit an online contact request. One of our staff will reply to you as soon as possible!
